This week’s readings in Workplace Learning & Development focus on key questions to be used in selecting appropriate development methods to design an organizational development plan. While they are all important, Clifford and Thorpe (2007) place considerable emphasis on organizational and environmental factors. Discuss these factors and their importance in response to this quote:

“If you do not take into account the organizational context within which you are working then, at best, the development activities will be a struggle to implement and at worst they won’t work at all” (Clifford & Thorpe, p. 122).
