"The Dutch parliament has taken the first step in banning petrol and diesel cars from sale in the Netherlands from 2025."(DutchNews 2014) Even with the support of the Dutch parliament there was strong opposition from the VVD (People's Party for Freedom and Democracy), they passed the motion and now the cabinet must come up with a plan of action. The leader of the parliamentary VVD party Halbe Zijlstra believe the potential car ban unrealistic. These was an unexpected turn of events that Tesla Motor Inc. could only dream of.
