This situation definitely determines the motivations for the whistle-blower! The bottom line is that becoming a whistle-blower is about huge professional and personal risk! I appreciate everyone posting on that topic because there is so much suspicion that surrounds whistle-blowers, it is important for us to decide when such a person is sincere versus when a person is clearly self-interested. Is there a way that we can encourage people to hold to their ethical principles, and be whistle-blowers if necessary, while at the same time not over encouraging people to tear someone else down so that they can build themselves up?
