SOURCE REQUIREMENTS: You are expected to develop your paper from a minimum number (six) and a variety of sources: 3-6 books or scholarly journal articles with at least one scholarly journal article (either in print or found through the library website/databases), and 0-3 other sources such as articles from a professional website, non-print sources (films, interviews), newspaper articles, pamphlets, etc.
SPECIAL USES OF SOURCES: To certify that you know how to incorporate materials in a variety of ways, include (a) paraphrased material, (b) a brief, in-text quotation, and (c) a block quotation. Obviously, you will use some of these techniques a great deal more than others. You may have two block quotes & still meet the minimum page length requirement; if you find you need to include more block quotes, you should account for them in the overall length of your paper.
