Students will invest $50,000 in various investments to simulate actual trading over the course of the semester. Please make sure your investments are in a variety of industries (manufacturing, consumer goods, technology, financial, utility, etc.), and please make certain to purchase at least one mutual fund.
On or before the due date, students will submit a 4 page (double-spaced) summary of this experience (cite references as appropriate).
Please include the following:
- what you learned
- thoughts/conclusions
- what you found confusing/troublesome
- a table summary of your performance including cost basis, returns, and stock names
This "game" will count towards 200 homework points according to the rubric below.
