This bootleg handbag, on casual inspection, looks just like my friend Barb's authentic Coach purse. They feel alike too; they're about the same weight and the surface of the leather is equally smooth. Barb could sell her purse for $300 dollars on Craig's List so I could probably sell the bootleg purse for about the same amount. The stitching, clasps, zippers, and other details are slightly sloppier on the knock-off, but Barb's purse has some minor imperfections too.

Which of the following is the best challenge to the strength or reliability of the argument above?

a. It is possible for the argument to have all true premises and a false conclusion.

b. The sample is too small. One purse is not a large enough sample to justify the conclusion about all bootleg purses.

c. It would be immoral to sell a known knockoff as if it were an authentic item. (By the way, this is true whether or not it is the correct answer.)

d. There are important, numerous dissimilarities between the knockoff and the genuine purse; a close inspection, which the buyer of a $300 purse might require, would reveal the dissimilarities in detail and craftsmanship.

e. Barb could not sell her used purse for $300, even if it is authentic.
