The environment of our planet has been degraded over the last century. As a result, a number of populations are suffering from the diseases due to unclean water sources, foods with low nutrients, exposure to radiation, and increased insect populations.

Case: Controlling Chagas Disease in the Southern Cone of South America
Case: Curbing Tobacco Use in Poland
Compare how South Africa and Poland is working to create better health care and improve the environment.
Identify the geographic areas involved
Discuss the health needs of the population that are being addressed
Explain the financial and/or cultural costs
Describe the outcome of the interventions employed. If there is no documented outcome to date, you may speculate as to an expected outcome based on your outside research.
In your conclusion, please state which case showed the most positive impact and why.
