You are required to use the Capella library and databases to search for five peer-reviewed articles, published within the last five years, on leadership and leadership style that relate to the work issue you identified in the Unit 2 assignment, Assessment of a Nursing Leadership Problem. Once you have selected the most relevant articles, you will develop an annotated bibliography that clearly:

Supports the identification of the problem in nursing leadership.

Summarizes the central argumentative position of scholarly works, and the authority or background of the authors relative to others in the field.

Provides a rationale for the nursing leadership problem through sound scholarly works.

Identifies nursing leadership dynamics related to the nursing leadership problem.

Continue the preparatory work you started in this unit's studies to finish your annotated bibliography using the checklist below. The more thorough your annotated bibliography, the more seamlessly it will transform into your final project.

A properly structured annotated bibliography:

Lists citations to books, articles, and documents.

Comprises a variety of credible perspectives.

Is formatted in APA Style.

Places the annotation after each citation.

Checklist

Annotations should contain most of the following:

Provide the reader with more information about the content of the sources.

Consist of a paragraph that is both a descriptive and evaluative paragraph (about 150 words).

Offer both a description and a critical assessment of the articles or books being annotated.

Give the reader a sense of the quality of the sources.

Give a sense of the argumentative position of the author relative to others in the field.

Inform the reader of the relevance, accuracy, and quality of the sources cited.

Expose, concisely, the author's point of view and the clarity of the work.

Evaluate the appropriateness of expression, and authority.

Summarize the central theme and scope of the book or article.

Evaluate the authority or background of the author.

Comment on the intended audience.

Compare or contrast the work with another you have cited.

Explain how this work illuminates your bibliography topic.

Writing Requirements

Your paper must be at least 2-3 pages long, excluding the cover page and references.

Use double spacing in between entries and annotations with one-inch margins.

Use Times New Roman, 12-point font.

Sources: Five peer-reviewed sources, published within the last five years.

Format the paper (including references) according to APA (6th edition) style and formatting guidelines.
