Think of the last time you had to make an ethical decision (in your work or personal life) where you were worried about doing the right thing and wondered, "What should I be doing?" This reflection will work best if you select a "right v. right" dilemma, as described in the Kidder video and article. The dilemma NOT be about whether to obey the law or not, nor should it be about career choice, who to marry, or where to live. It doesn't need to be a major decision, but it should be something where you had to reflect on what was the "right thing" to do morally or ethically.

Example 1: As a hiring manager, you offer a promotion to a current employee after your first choice for the job turned you down. The current employee asks, "Was I the first choice?" What do you tell her?

Example 2: A co-worker is on disability leave for an injured back. While on a hike in the mountains, you see the co-worker ahead, striding along as if he was perfectly well. The co-worker doesn't see you. Should you report him to your supervisor or Human Resource office?
