The typical whistleblower situation really reminds us that having some sort of protection in line is huge before going public with this sort of inside information! Let me chime in one quick point: if we were posed with an ethical dilemma, and we had the option of becoming a whistleblower, how long should we wait before we make the decision to act? I ask this question because I do not believe it is as easy said as is done. In confronting unethical situations in the workplace, do we act on our gut, or think through very carefully about what we are doing, and its implications?
