The Tasks

Complete all tasks and submit the following on Moodle:

- One (1) Microsoft Word report containing answers for each task. The report must include unit name, unit code, student full name, student ID, campus (or distance), lecturer (or tutor) on the front page.
- One (1) Microsoft Visio file containing the diagrams for Tasks 2, 3, 4 and 5. The diagrams must be in the same file, but on separate pages within the Visio file. A screenshot or copy- and-paste of each of the four diagrams must also be included in the Microsoft Word report.
Task 1. System Requirements Determination

There are four traditional methods for determining system requirements covered in this unit. Select two most useful relevant methods for this project that help you effectively determine the new system requirements. You have to:
- Describe each of the two system requirements determination methods in detail. Include tasks that would be performed using those two methods for the Rocky Sports Club information system project.

- Explain the advantages and disadvantages of each of the two methods in the context of the Rocky Sports Club information system project. The advantages/disadvantages are relative to all 3 other methods (not just the selected methods).
What to include in your report for this task?

1. Description of two methods

2. Explanation of advantages/disadvantages of selected method 1

3. Explanation of advantages/disadvantages of selected method 2

Task 2. Use Case Diagram (UCD)

Draw a use case diagram for the system within the project.

What to include in your report for this task?

1. A screenshot or copy-and-paste of the diagram. You MUST also submit the original Microsoft Visio file containing the diagram.
2. Succinct explanations and supporting assumptions for your UCD.

Task 3. Domain Class Diagram (DCD) Draw a domain class diagram for the system. What to include in your report for this task?
1. A screenshot or copy-and-paste of the diagram. You MUST also submit the original Microsoft Visio file containing the diagram.
2. Succinct explanations of your CD (e.g. what the classes represent, why you have chosen certain relationships), and support assumptions for what you have made about the system (e.g. you add shipping address in addition to postal address for all members without email addresses).
Task 4. Activity Diagram (AD)

Assume that the President is an actor using the new system for sending newsletters. The system helps the President check what format of newsletter to send to all the members. The President will send electronic newsletters to the members with email addresses. Those club members without email addresses will have a paper copy posted to their mailing address. Use 2 swimlanes as an actor (President) and a system class object to show the above system work flows. Draw an activity diagram for this specific system process.

What to include in your report for this task?

1. A screenshot or copy-and-paste of the diagram. You MUST also submit the original Microsoft Visio file containing the diagram.
2. Succinct explanations and supporting assumptions for your AD if any.

Task 5. System Sequence Diagram (SSD)

Assume that the President is an actor using the new system for selecting an editor for a newsletter.
Draw a system sequence diagram for this specific system process.

What to include in your report for this task?

1. A screenshot or copy-and-paste of the diagram. You MUST also submit the original Microsoft Visio file containing the diagram.
2. Succinct explanations and supporting assumptions for your SSD if any.

Please check that no task is missed out in the report and it is a well written report free from content errors and linguistic errors before making your Assessment 2 online submission.
