The Super Bowl is a powerful platform, your company has decided to tie in a new product launch with this annual event, and YOU are in charge.

For this assignment you must create your own company (name, slogan, location) and then identify a product that you will be launching at this year’s Super Bowl. The company and product can be anything sports related, and you will be charged with the task of introducing this product in and around the Super Bowl. Your product can be anything from a pair of binoculars, to new tires. Let your imagine run wild, and create a company and a product or service that you think would sell to the Super Bowl Demographic. Focus more on the product, and less on the company itself. Try not to spend much time describing how you will produce your product, or conduct your service, and spend the bulk of your time devising an effective marketing campaign; leveraging the power of the Super Bowl, and the excitement that surrounds the big game.

Using the provided sample marketing plan (posted in course information, or assignments in Canvas), create a marketing strategy that best fits your product. Most of the areas listed in the sample plan should apply to your project, and you are encouraged to get creative in your approach. Make sure to elaborate on each area as much as possible, so you can clearly explain your product’s position.

You will be working with a 500,000.00 dollar budget, and should price out all items to make sure you stay within your budget. When listing prices, make sure you check the market and with competitors to see what they offer, and price your product accordingly. Do the same with advertising space, and try to make your plan as applicable and realistic as possible.

You should first review the sample plan to get an understanding of what is expected, and work backwards from there. Once you have a feel for what is needed, begin thinking about what products have and are being introduced using the Super Bowl Platform. Remember that now is the time to get creative and think outside of the box.

Your budget should be spent on activation, and not on product development. Assume that your product has already been produced, and is ready to be introduced at the Super Bowl. Identify the typical Super Bowl Demographic, and tie your launch in with their behavioral patterns. How can you get your product in front of your target audience, and how can you activate your product using this major event? Where will you go, what will you do, why will it be successful? Feel free to ambush the event, but make sure that you don’t use trademarked material, or any logos, or content protected by the NFL.
