The annual demand for the new product is 250000, the plan is to run 20 days per month, the plan runs 1 shift of 8 hours, production has 2 breaks @ 10 min each shift. The product requires pressed parts from the existing press machines and capability exists press time is considered in a different department, parts will be available. There are 8 distinct parts that must be processed through a cleaning process. Part 1-6 are less than 2 feet long, part 7 is 3 ft long part 8 is 5 ft long. 4 parts can be hung together for all parts. The power and free conveyer used will have attachments available at 2 ft increments. The assembly is immediately after the oven so a cooler must be included, the part must be in the washer for 5 min, the oven for 10 min, and the cooler for 8 min to properly process the part. The washer/oven/cooler are 10 ft wide including all the mechanical components. Based on the engineering time stands there is 4.4 min of assembly work content 2 operators per station is possible. The assembly conveyor belt speed matches the process equipment; the assembly conveyor belt is 4 ft wide. No parts are required line side as they are removed from the overhead and placed on the assembly belt conveyor. Four feet is required by law for employee access, but all the tools can fit within that area. Please provide a sketch of the overall proposed process.
