"The study of smaller family firms (with mean gross business revenues of slightly more than $1 million), went on to discover that contrary to owner perceptions, each additional family member employed (including temporary and part-time) in the business was associated with at least a small ($2,000) increase in annual revenue. Revenues also increased when family tension was reduced, when the two- or three-generation family lived together, and when family members reallocated time from sleep to the business and hired temporary help during busy times." (Family Business 4e, P.32)

The study indicates that Family Businesses have increased revenue, but there are a number of factors that can come into play that may promote this increase in revenue. Some may argue that it is more difficult to run a family business. What difference or Issue from stands out the most to you as a hurdle that a Family run business encounters that sets it apart from other forms of business management?
