Purpose of Assignment
The purpose of this assignment is to demonstrate understanding of the public and private third-party payers of health care services. As students prepare for a career in health care, this assignment allows them to review the history of the development of health care and its purpose. Students also cover in detail the advantages and disadvantages of HMO, managed care, PPO, POS, and TRICARE. 

· Post your response to the following: You have been selected to give a presentation on the United States’ insurance options to a group outside the United States. The group is being presented with this information for the first time. In a 10- to 12-slide PowerPoint® presentation, explain how health insurance began, the purpose of health insurance, and each of the following insurance options. List the advantages and disadvantages of each type. Include speaker notes (this is where you can reference your citations that you use in the body of the presentation).
