The Program team is rolling out a training program for certified phlebotomy technicians in Valleytown. This will be an opportunity for 20 incumbent entry level workers to gain new skills and have a new job at the end of a paid on-the-job training experience.

The Education Fund will contract with the New School of Allied Health Sciences to offer a 400 hour program of didactic and clinical training. You will need to:

- get the word out to employees represented by the union, letting them know that the opportunity is available& encouraging them to apply

- handle all the logistics of marketing, recruitment, assessment, selection and ongoing program coordination with the school, the union, and the employer before and during the training program

-handle the logistics of putting together the post-training graduation celebration

Challenge: Answer the following questions:

1) How would you go about getting the word out about the program and recruiting a minimum of 40 applicants in a six-week period?

2) How would you maintain regular communication with the union, the school, the employer and the applicants during a fast-paced, multi-stage recruitment, applications assessment, and selection process while simultaneously tracking incoming applications and handling applicant paperwork?

3) How would you balance work on this particular training program while simultaneously during outreach and recruitment for regular, ongoing Education Fund programs and handing applications and logistics as part of your regular program team?
