The policy of containment during the Cold War. Definition of the policy of containment, as well as the execution of containment policy during the cold war era need to be discussed. Also include both domestic and foreign affairs as they relate to the effort to stop the spread of communism, and tensions between the effort to contain communism, on the one hand, and promote democratic values, such as self-government and freedom of speech and political association on the other hand.
