Q1) When it comes to Internet security, here is the interesting dilemma: Must flaws in company's computer system be reported publicly to alert possible victims and to encourage people to fix problems quickly, or must information about security flaws be suppressed and kept secret to aid prevent rogues and scoundrels from exploiting system and causing even more harm? So one alternative is transparency, where workings of system are open and made public, and protection comes from passwords, cryptographic keys and other built-in controls. Other alternative is called as "security by obscurity, a model which attempts to stifle open discussion about security weaknesses. Which of these two alternatives do you regard to be most morally justified?
