The Marketing Team at Noodles & Company will be developing a new marketing plan for 74 restaurants. They have a goal of increasing average sales per square by 10 percent over three months spanning the summer months of June, July and August. You have been asked to meet with the Marketing Team to provide information you have gleaned from a sales and restaurant dataset that they provided and to offer suggestions for the direction of the plan.
You will prepare a PowerPoint presentation of no more than 12 slides summarizing the information you will provide. In this presentation, you should first provide descriptive statistics of key data of the restaurants. Not all data included in the data set needs to be used. You should select relevant information at your discretion. Further, you should complete at least two regression analyses and present the results (being careful to draw conclusions only from statistically significant results). These analyses should be informed by the descriptive statistics and provide information that would suggest strategies that the Marketing Team could use to increase average sales per square foot in the stores in the months of June, July, and August. You should also acknowledge any data or analysis problems. In the notes section of the notes view (slide on top, speaking notes on the bottom), you should write exactly what you would present verbally to the Marketing Team in either paragraph or bullet-proof form. Remember to use good slide form with only pertinent information in the slides, with good “white-space,†and limited text. Slide font should be large enough so as to not overwhelm the listener with too much information. The notes section should be in 11-point font and should be completely contained in the box on a single 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper, if printed.
