In particular, China's economy -has changed from 10th to 2nd place globally. We read about the BRICs earlier in the semester. BRIC refers to the emerging markets of Brazil, Russia, India, and China. We also have read about China's increasing role in other realms, particularly South America and Africa. What are some of the political, social, economic and environmental impacts from the rapid economic growth?
