The Critical Strategy that I chose was Biographical Strategy. I feel like this strategy helps when reading this story. Sometimes we can read a story and wonder where the author came up with this story line. I feel like reading a biography about an author can tell you a lot about the way an author writes. Quite often, author's write from person experience. Therefore, if you read about the author then you can understand details better. This helps me better understand where Ernest Hemingway was coming from in his story "Soldier's Home". Ernest was also in the war, like his main character Kreb. He was wounded, therefore this affected him physically and mentally. Again, this is a great reason to read about the biography of the author.
