The coursework will involve preparing a template using physical, social, economic and environmental variables to determine value creation. This will assist in facilitating student awareness of the key indicators which are linked to value creation in opportunity sites. The coursework will involve an individual desk study exercise. Each student will be expected to devise a framework for interpreting and assessing the value in an opportunity site based on a template (see Annexure I). Student will make use of relevant literature, structured discussions, case study site analysis, and examples of best practice elsewhere. Finally students will test the framework and draw lessons for Victoria Square based on an analysis of the following.

1. Physical
2. Social
3. Economic
4. Environmental
5. Planning and Design
