The concept behind Zipf''s law is the idea that proof of it can be found outside of the written word. It can be found everywhere, from Internet traffic data to our own DNA sequencing. Any ideas on how that is possible?
How does someone write a book that unintentionally ends up following some great, universal pattern of power-laws?
How can something like writing (which is so highly individual, personal, and limited only by imagination) still contain such a predictable element?
