The Bambo Engineering Services uses senior and junior engineers on its design projects. Senior engineers cost Bambo $16 per hour compared to $7.50 per hour for junior engineers. Each hour of senior engineering time requires 5 minutes of supervision by the project manager and 15 minutes of computer time. Every hour of junior engineers requires 30 minutes of supervision from the project managerand 25 minutes of computer time.

The Bambo Services has just been awarded a design project and needs to decide on the mix of senior and junior engineers to execute the project. In bidding for the project, it budgeted a maximum total labor cost of senior and junior engineers of $75 000.00. There is available for the project a maximum of 1000 hours of supervision by the project manager and 2500 hours of computer time. The project will be billed at an hourly rate,such that the time of senior engineers will yield a profit of $2.50 per hour, whereas junior engineers time will yield a profit of $3.75
