a. In your opinion, what were the strengths and weaknesses of the paper or document?

i. Be sure to think about your impressions and the reasons for them. ii. Listing what the author wrote as limitations is not the same thing as forming your own opinions and justifying them to the reader.

b. Were the findings in the article important to a reader?

c. Were the conclusions in the article valid? Do you agree with the conclusions?

d. If the material was technical, was the technical material innovative? clearly explained?

7. Write a CONCLUSION that briefly tells the reader what you wrote about in your essay and your overall findings about the article you reviewed.

a. A conclusion provides intellectual closure for the reader.

b. Some students leave this out-please don't leave it out.

c. There is some redundancy in a conclusion paragraph, but it still is essential to provide closure in a skillfully written essay.
