The Advantages of Using the Internet

A hobby that I enjoy is using the computer. A great part of my time is browsing the Internet to connect internationally. According to the Internet usage statistic, seventy percent of Americans use the Internet everyday for many purposes. It makes me wonder how the Internet affects Americans life. Originally the Internet served to interconnect laboratories engaged in government research, and since 1994 it has been expanded to serve millions of users all over the world. People increasingly spend their leisure time using Internet. It is a helpful tool where people can learn new things, make a connection with each other and keep informed of information around the world.

No one can deny the benefit that Internet offers people. Internet is the big sources where people can get in to learn new things. Firstly, people find computers with Internet access a wonderful source of information, which keeps them informed of events in the world. Information resources are probably the biggest advantage that Internet offers. All kind of information on any topic is available on the Internet at anytime. Nowadays, when the Internet is developing quickly, people have more choices to get new things from it. Some schools open online classes that students can take from far distance. Companies organize the job on Internet that their employees can stay home and work for them. People shop on the Internet is more popular. All kinds of these things make the Internet more useful for human’s life. Some people even get more successful by using Internet, such as Alex who is one of my friends. He just got a best masters degree. He used to be a very poor student in class. Although he studied hard and went to tutoring center everyday, he still did not receive saltatory results. One day he figured out that the Internet was very useful for him to solve his problems. His browsing became a habit that made him very successful as today.

Not only learning new things is the benefit of using Internet but also meeting new people is one of the big advantages. Internet offers new ways to connect people, it is known as social networking. Social networking is the way to make connection with people, with interests and goals. Although there are some arguments those social networking spoils children, it is a useful way that people all over the world communicate with each other. By using it, people are provided a great way to keep in touch with others even when they move away. We also use it to get feedback on ideas immediately, or to ask questions and get answers quickly. One of the social networking tools that everyone might know is Facebook. People use Facebook to keep in touch with their friends and family. Others use for sharing their ideas, images or good sources. While some would like to make new friends. They all have the same purpose that is getting more fun in order to make their life more exciting.

Other than learning new things, meeting new friends, becoming knowledgeable is also a great benefit of using Internet. People spend a lot of time on the Internet for reading news. All latest news is continuously up-to-date on the Internet on various news sites. Students learning national politics can have a good access to all the present affairs through the Internet within the school campus, at home or even from any other place. It is a means is used to provide information about an event that recently occurred somewhere and which is also important to everyone. People who live abroad can keep informed that what is happening in their countries. Consequently, many people would rather using Internet for up dating their knowledge because it is available everywhere at anytime.

The Internet provides people with the latest information and the huge sources. In order to learn more good information, make connection between people, and keep informed of events in the world. People use the Internet to make their lives better. For me browsing the Internet is not only an important, and interesting, but also has opened doors now and in the future. My hobby has lead to a promising career in a fast growing, high demanding and very rewarding field.
