Task Requirements:
1. Each presentation can be a general coverage of its topic or it can be on a specific area within the topic. It is expected that the coverage will be in more depth than that covered in lectures and that the emphasis is on the relevance of the topic to the Information Technology manager.
2. Each of the four topics chosen will have its own presentation. Each presentation must be approximately four minutes in length. Each presentation may be included in one video of approximately four minutes or severalshorter videos whose combined length is approximately four minutes. Shorter videos may be a preferred option if recording with something like a mobile phone.
3. This course is not about video production so the quality of the video is not critical, however the presentation should be understandable, clear and consistent.
4. Pictures, animations, slides, etc may be used in the presentation but the student must appear and speak in at least 70% of the video. Do not display the script in the video.
5. You must create the videos in a format compatible with YouTube.
6. You will be required to submit each video as well as the script of the dialogue of the presentation.
7. To encourage research from sources other than the Internet alone at least 50% of the content of each presentation must be based on the ideas or issues from four or more journal articles or books (electronic books are allowed) that are available through the Federation University library (http://federation.edu.au/library). Each of these ideas or issues that are discussed in the presentation script is to be cross referenced with the page number in the article or book from which it was sourced.
8. You must submit the cross-referenced presentation scripts for your videos and the YouTube links to each presentation on Moodle, unless other arrangements are made with your tutor. If you cannot submit the assignment electronically, you are required to submit an appropriately-labelled CD containing a copy of the cross-referenced presentation scripts (including the URLs of the YouTube videos)
