Sustainable development is one of our greatest challenges.

People everywhere wish to have the same comfort and opportunities enjoyed by those in wealthier regions. Students are required to study from E-text book Chapter 16:

Environment policy and sustainability and prepare a report and make power point presentation, on following questions.

1. Define sustainability. What are the objectives / aims of sustainability development? Is sustainability an achievable goal? Support your answer with valid reasons.

2. Explain any two topics provided in Chapter 16: Environment policy and sustainability of your course e-book in your own words (student should use the other references also)?

3. What do you think are the main barriers or challenges to sustainability development?

4. What are the alternatives/ solutions to achieve sustainability?

5. Identify the Latest researches done in UAE related to environmental sustainability in the country.

6. Students are required to present the evidences of researches done (photos, videos, newspaper articles or any such data which support your answer).

Learning Outcomes being assessed:

Write recommendations for sustainable life model free of natural hazards.

Handing in format instructions:-

- Maximum allowable number of students in one group is two.
- Sign this page and put it as a cover for your project.
- Submit soft and hard copy of your work.
- Type written only.
- Number all pages and staple in top left hand corner.
- Late submissions will be deducted (10% for each day).
- Any quoted material must be referenced; otherwise, it is plagiarized material.

Report

Your assignment should be 7 to 9 pages including the title page and references. The title page should have the name and I.D. number of student.

B) Presentation

The PowerPoint presentation should highlight the important topics in the assignment and should be given to the class within 10 minutes for each group.
