Suppose you have been requested to perform an ergonomic review of the workstations for all Executive Assistants in the firm. Research what is required in an environmental review in an office setting and identify the major factors to consider when performing an ergonomic review of the Executive Assistant workstations. Identify 5 conditions you would check in or around the Assistant's workstation, what recommendations you would make, and what you would hope to prevent by your recommendations. For example- by providing a wrist rest with each computer mouse, you would hope to lessen the incidence of carpal tunnel cases.
This task has two parts.
Part One (20 points):
Identify the major factors to consider when performing an ergonomic review for the Executive Assistant workstation (based on your course readings and chat session on Ergonomics).
Part Two (60 points):
a) You may select any 5 conditions (based on the task instructions and any of your course materials) which you would check as part of an ergonomic review of the Executive Assistant work station and b) provide recommendations of how you would prevent or minimize these conditions. Don't forget that you are basing this review on ALL of the physical and environmental conditions in and around the workstation. Also, consider the essential functions of the Executive Assistant when preparing this ergonomic review.
