After looking at these stages of stress and learning how stress can impact your general health, take the Holmes and Rahe Stress Scale and calculate your stress score for the past year. (A total score of less than 150 indicates low risk of stress-related illness; a score of between 151 and 299 indicates a moderate risk of stress-related illness and a score of 300 or greater suggests that the person is at significant risk of illness due to the stress in their life.)
