Sugging is bad for the research industry and the reason is because there is a lot of fake research data and studies. Stating that the product or services of a particular player would be brought to prominence, which is not correct. This is when the biased data is getting used. Here are some other reasons Sugging is bad:

Other results of the same survey, which are more or less bogus gets attention. The same false data is used in several other studies, which acts as source of secondary data. The wrong and false data gets published at several places and hampers the actual and authentic data. There is no way these can be reduced or lessened. They get on line attraction and also deceive consumers into buying the products. From this customers do not take part in actual surveys, thinking they would be sold random things.

There are many companies that use a survey call and they just ask about their service in guise, asking what the customer expects and at the end of it they offer a discount coupon on the product or service. So here they just communicated a benefit, which the customer himself or herself wanted and just fit their product or service to that, mostly falsely. Then give a 30-40% discount stating the customer is being a loyal and a lucky one. Then the customer feels like they have won a lottery and purchases the product and service, which started as a survey but ended by selling. I have been a victim of Sugging after taking a survey and receiving a discount code then buying a product. You feel that you are getting a deal that you don't want to pass up but in reality you don't need it at all. I don't think Sugging is ethical because of case that it can make people buy a product or service thinking they are getting a deal. Do you agree or disagree?
