Students from a technical background, underestimate the people's skills that are needed to be successful. Earlier there were no classes to deal with the people's skills, let alone classes that would deal with the technical aspects of project management such as planning and scheduling. Things and times are changed for the better, but technical folks still assume that technical skills are all that is necessary.
