While this provides a broad explanation of the importance of strategic planning, it does not explain why it is specifically relevant for your particular organization. When initiating the strategic planning process, you want to be able to obtain stakeholder buy-in, and to do this, you have to be able to explain its relevance. For this Discussion, you examine the relevance of strategic planning to the organization that you selected for your Final Project.

Brief description of the non-profit or public organization that you have selected for your Final Project. Explain why strategic planning is relevant to this organization. Then, identify critical components of the organization's strategic planning process and explain why they are critical in terms of missions and goals.
