Section A: Create a cost-benefit analysis for an update that will improve the business: structural, office equipment, or staff. The cost will use the full amount of funds allotted to this improvement ($2 Million).

Direct:

Building repairs - $1,100,000 - I have allotted this amount of money because as an older building that is in need of extensive repairs; this amount of money will be needed to repair the building properly and bring it up-to-date and code. However, if the repairs cost too much, the building could be torn down and rebuilt to be more cost-effective.

Office equipment - $850,000 - this amount of money has been allotted to the purchase of new office equipment such as computers, tablets, printers, fax machines, telephones, etc in order to replace the outdated equipment. The purchase of the new equipment will make the job more efficient and time friendly.

Additional staff - $50,000 - this amount of money has been allotted to bringing in an additional staff member, or 2 part-time staff members getting $25,000 each. Should more funds be needed for staff; additional funds can be removed from the office equipment or building repairs.

Indirect: These funds would be determined by the amount of time that is lost by the employees during the repair of the building

$4 million - is being allotted to the screening of men and women for sexually transmitted diseases and HIV, in order to increase their knowledge of their likelihood of acquiring these sexually transmitted diseases that could have led to the development of HIV/AIDS.

$2,500,000 is allotted to education on the differences between HIV/AIDS, transmission methods, prevention methods that are going into the communities that have the most risk; speaking with the youth, teenagers, and young adults. The object of the education of HIV/AIDS is the overall prevention of the disease.

This could be corrected with community-based programs that are geared towards teaching abstinence and safe sex practices; other community-based organizations that give teens and young adults an outlet instead of drinking and drugs.
