Situation: ABC is an organization engaged in developing and maintaining various applications for different clients in the area of health care, telecom billing, airline, and banking sectors. One of the applications which they maintain for an airline company, XYZ, deals with airline ticket booking. This application can operate on different platforms including Android and enables the airline to handle about

1 million users at any given point of time. However, in the recent past, the performance of the application started reducing due to heavy ticket booking. The client XYZ wants to improve the performance and sign a contract called "Agreement" with ABC to enhance the user handling capacity of the application to 2 million users with a budget of $1 million, providing a timeline of about six months.

ABC engaged sponsor John to initiate this project and identified Kevin as the Project Manager. Here are the exercises to be done.

1. The client XYZ has to develop a sample document and name it (let's say document A) which will be an input to initiate the project.-30 minutes

2. John and Kevin are supposed to develop a document (let's say document B) which justifies the reason for the project within the ABC organization and helps to get the buy in from internal stakeholders. Based on this document (B) another important document (C) should be developed, which authorizes Kevin to initiate/start the project. Develop documents B and C-

3. Identify the stakeholders for this project and develop project document (D) - 15 minutes

4. After creating the project document D, Kevin should develop scope management plan and scope baseline as a part of project planning. Develop the sample documents. - Total 60 Minutes

5. The team begins to execute the plan. During the implementation, one of the team members feels that the project can give an additional capacity to handle 2.2 million users just by adding a few changes and he implements them. Kevin notices these changes from the plan during the Monitoring and Controlling process groups. How does Kevin know about this and what action should he take in this situation? During this stage what are the documents required? Provide the possible answer. -30 minutes

6. List the activities that are to be carried out when the project is getting closed (write the activities in a sequence) and capture the lessons learned under OPA. Create a sample OPA.-15 minutes
