1) Should responsibility for environmental improvements be shared among the more wealthy countries rather than the countries that currently pollute the most? It is not secret for example that developing countries often pollute the most because they have older less environmentally technology, that is albeit cheaper, but not as effective. Should countries with greater wealth, subsidize the cost of purchasing better environmental controls in developing countries?

2) In the early 1970s the U.S. went through a fossil fuel shortage that spurred much of the interest in solar energy and renewable energy sources. We're seeing a surge in things like hybrid cars now, but have concerns over high fuel prices translated into much beyond this?
