Shortly prior to the scheduled representation election the hospital employees in the unit subject to the election received a letter that seemed to be a letter from the NLRB. The letter convicted the employer's campaign tactics as well as appeared to support union campaign claims. The letter was really a forgery prepared by the union and appeared to have a substantial effect on the employees the union won the election. The employer filed protests to the outcome of the election based on the union's forgery of NLRB documents
