This week, I would like to engage each of you in a short writing assignment on Oil in the News. Hopefully, this should make efficient use of your time, but still give you the opportunity explore how the oil industry is currently in the News in comparison to historical oil related events that you have learned about through this lesson.

Using only the USA Today Newspaper, the New York Times Newspaper, The Washington Post, or The Wall Street Journal

Find an article about the historical event using the New York Times Historical Database
