Select a contemporary painting, sculpture, or piece of art which captures your interest. This must be a piece created between the end of World War II (around 1945) and today. You might select one of the descriptions or color inserts in the textbook, opt for an artist featured on the PBS series "Art 21," or try a virtual museum. Aim for the assessment which notes small details in a work, considers the main purpose of different elements, and perhaps investigates the artist's life.
