Scenario: Michael was taking care of his children while cooking dinner. After placing a meatloaf in the oven, Michael picked up his son and walked into an adjacent room. Suddenly, the oven exploded (possibly due to an improperly designed gas valve in the oven). Michael was so startled that he dropped the baby who suffered a broken arm. His other child was hit by flying debris and began bleeding. Michael grabbed both children and rushed them to the hospital. While he was gone, the house caught fire from the explosion. The flames spread to a neighbor's house and the neighbor telephoned the fire department. En route to the fire, a fire engine was involved in a collision causing property damage and personal injury to two firemen and to the driver of another automobile, which caused the accident as a result of the driver's excessive speeding. Because of the delay, both houses burned to the ground before another fire truck arrived. Meanwhile, back at the hospital, while Michael's children were being treated, he began to suffer chest pains. Michael was hospitalized for a heart attack, which the doctor's attributed to stress and to a pre-existing heart condition.
