Rhetorical Analysis
You will need to analyze your chosen presidential candidate's advertising strategies. In your research, I want you to critically question how, say, an advertisement appeals-or persuades-its audience to do something; what assumptions, political effects, appeals to rhetoric, popularity, visual rhetoric, irony, power, etc. construct the ad?
After analyzing the advertisement, I want you to craft an argument about the effectiveness of said campaign advertisement(s); remember, you are trying to persuade your reader to take a position about the rhetorical vigor of the ad. Therefore, it is important that you interpret how the advertisement you have chosen is being used to WIN!
When choosing an advertisement you should be thinking about possible angles to take and what questions might be important for your interview.
This assignment should be approximately FIVE pages.
