Today I met with the client. He showed up late (which is typical for him). He told me that he is making progress in managing his anger, which seems doubtful given his recent history of violence.
Asked the client about whether or not he has been practicing his relaxation and cognitive reframing exercises. He stated that he had practiced some but not all the techniques--this client's lack of compliance is pretty frustrating.
Told the client that he'd better tow the line or that I'd report to him to his probation officer for non-compliance.
Plan- Client to return in one week for follow-up.
