[A/Goal + B/Resources + C/Motivation] - [D/Objections + E/Self-Defeating Behavior] + [F/Positive Intention + G/Purpose] = Change

In a well-written summary of 400 to 500 words, describe your plan for change following the formula.

A. State a specific goal.

B. List resources necessary to attain that goal.

C. How and when have you motivated yourself to do something similar?

D. What are your objections (fears) to accomplishing your goal? What is the payoff (benefit) from sabotaging your efforts and not reaching the goal?

E. What are your self-defeating behaviors?

F. What is the positive intention of D and E? How can you accomplish the positive intention of your fear in another way besides the behavior you want to change? Think of three things you could do instead of the behavior you want to change that would accomplish the intention.

G. What will you look, sound, and feel like when you have accomplished the change?
