Nursing Management

Describe nursing management related to the dysrhythmia and the rationales.

List and briefly describe non-pharmacological methods to prevent, treat, and/or correct the conduction disturbance

List and briefly describe the medications that can be used to treat or correct the conduction disturbance and their associated nursing considerations

Emergency Care and Procedures

Describe emergency care and/or procedures to manage or correct the dysrhythmia.

List and briefly describe available treatments or procedures and their associated nursing considerations.

Patient Teaching

Describe health teaching for the patient going home with or at risk for the dysrhythmia.

Consider medication and device teaching (i.e. pacemaker, internal defibrillator, etc.)

As previously mentioned, besides the nursing considerations, what type of medication teaching would this type of patient need to go home safely?

When would the patient follow up with their physician, either routinely or emergently?
