Restaurant interface project

Correct between brackets

Mission Statement

Project Goals:

1. To develop a high value, secure and reliable system, that meets the client needs such as: (You must be specific, if you create a list of functions it must be complete)

Work and holidays Scheduling (Not sure how Work and Holiday scehduling are different things);

Managing dining areas (What does manageing mean in this context?);

Reservations;

Monitoring wait staff performance and customer complaints; (Where do complaints get documented? I don't see that in the requirements document)

Passing orders to the kitchen and table’s server/waiters; (Passing orders to the wait staff?)

customer’s waiting list;

staff time records and

payroll reports.

Furthermore, its competitively priced to comparable systems in the market.

2. Provide the client with an intelligence stat (do not use abbreviations) reports that illustrate the restaurant's business activities and offers the client a valuable insight about the peak and lowest workflow. (Be specific in terms of what data will be collected and provided for the clients usage) These reports could decrease the time spent on managerial work and enable’s the client to manage the restaurant more effectively.

3. The system enables the client to improve the worker (very odd phrase) using forecasting (Forecasting what specifically?), and managing food ordering lists.This feature has a significant impact on lost profit due to over and under scheduling.

Project scope:

This project will develop and deliver a new application specially designed for “Auntchilada’s” Restaurant. The application will automate the restaurant managerial activities and allow the client to handle and manage the day-to-day operations such as: (Vague)

(Why am I reading the same list as above? There is one addition in this list - Menus)

Creating menus;

Work and holidays Scheduling;

Managing dining areas;

Reservations;

Monitoring wait staff performance and customer complaints;

Passing orders to the kitchen and table’s server/waiters;

customer’s waiting list;

staff time records and payroll reports.

Although, the scope of the project does not include: the payroll system; the inventory and ordering system; the alarm system; and the cashier system, it should be able to interact with all of them in order to meet its objectives.

Finally, since the training programs should be a key element to gain the maximum benefit of the application. The application development team will be responsible to conduct training season to wait sifts leaders and the management. (How many training sessions? How long are the sessions? What will be covered? How will it be covered?)
