Research question and thesis statement I came up with: What is the unique aspect of CFSP in relation to the other areas of policy and how this is reflected to the negotiation process? The foreign and security policy area is a unique one compared to all other aspects of integration in terms of the political instruments it triggers and the multiple levels of decision making it filters through. Because of the high magnitude of impact of the decisions made, the higher level of authority and increased political participation of member states are needed which leads to a tougher negotiation process.
