Problem Statement

NOKIA was once a leading cell phone company having highest sales rate in 90's decade and experienced a massive downfall in its sales. This was all due to market was saturated and telecom companies are delaying the introduction to new technologies as claimed by (Mukusa, 2013). Several reason are claimed by (Mukusa, 2013) , (Singh, 2014) and other explorers about the failure of the Nokia in the market. Nokia was dominating all the arch rival companies in from 1990 to 2000 with its highest selling rate of mobile phones accounting to approximately 32 million (Statista, 2016). With the same dominating competencies it has reached its highest amount of sale rate in 2007 with 120 million phones worth 42.45-51.06 billion euros (Rossof, 2016), (Statista, 2016). Apart from highest sales, Nokia experience downfall from 2009 and reached its lowest sales rate at11.76 million in 2014(Rossof, 2016). This investigation explores the reasons behind the downfall of sales and analysis based on quantitative and Qualitative data analysis methods(Fromer, 2015). Data collection methods used for this investigation are online sources, reports and articles.
