Assignment: Internet Field Trip
1. Research: Research at least six information sources on the forecasting methods; take notes and interpret and record major facts, meaningful graphics, and precise sounds and evaluated alternative view point.
2. Preparation: Produce as storyboard with thumbnails of at least ten slides. Consist of the following elements:
- Title of slide, background colour, text, placement and size of graphic, fonts - colour, size, type for headings and text
- Hyperlinks (list URLs of any site linked from slide), narration text, and audio files
- Number on slides
- Logical sequence to presentation
3. Content: Provide written content with subsequent elements:
- Introduction which presents the entire topic (clear sense of the project’s main idea) and draws the audience in the presentation with compelling problems or by relating to audience's interests or objective.
- Accurate, current
- Clear, concise, and demonstrate logical progression of ideas and supporting detail
- Motivating problems and advanced organizers
- Drawn mainly from main sources
4. Text Elements: Slides must have the subsequent attributes:
- Fonts are easy-to-read; point size which differs appropriately for headings and text
- Italics, bold, and indentations enhance readability
- Background and colours enhance readability of text
- Appropriate in length for target audience; to the point
5. Layout: The layout must have the following characteristics:
- Visually pleasing
- Contributes to the entire message
- Proper use of headings, subheadings and white space
6. Media: The graphics, sound, and/or animation should
- Assist in presenting an entire theme and improve understanding of concept, ideas and relationships
- Have real images that are created using appropriate size and resolution; enhance the content
- Have a consistent visual theme.
7. Citations: The sources of information must:
- Properly cited so that the audience can determine the credibility and authority of the information presented
