As discussed in your assigned reading, brainstorming is a vital first step to developing a topic for a research proposal. Group brainstorming is a technique used by thousands of companies to help generate product ideas and make improvements to quality. Whether done in person or through online chat, group brainstorming can be a powerful tool for developing your ideas.
Share your project proposal statement for your research proposal. You may be casual in your post; it is not necessary to share your formal proposal, but be sure to give your classmates a full picture of your research idea. Then, review your classmates' posts and provide meaningful feedback to one classmate. Consider his or her problem statement as if you were writing it: what questions do you have? Do you understand the research problem? What ideas do you have that might enhance the research? Are you familiar with any resources that may be valuable to the writer? Share! And so on.
