COLLAPSE

The topic of evolution in populations has been supported many times over by both scientific methods and scientific theories. You can't turn on the television, connect to the internet or even just look outside and not see the evidence of evolution in the world. The world as we know it has undergone major evolution changes for millions of years and is ever constantly changing to adapt because of resource competition. Take for instance, the same topic of discussion on the chapter that we're currently studying. Certain lizards have had to adapt for survival to be able to reach certain food sources, get away from predators like developing stickier legs to grab ahold of branches as they climb. Competition for mating; different lizards have different displays of mating dancing towards females to get their attention and completion from other like spices. Other instances of evolution include the green lizards that are native to Florida that had to adapt to survive because of completion from the brown lizards that have moved into their territories and have made living together challenging for both lizards. The different types of anoles that we discussed during this lesson all have some type of advantage over each because of evolving when it comes to survival that will ensure that their species can endure time.

The one area in my opinion that I think that needs more work is in the work of diseases. Over time, some diseases have become more defensive to certain drugs to include SARS, Ebola and the flu to name a few. These illnesses have become milder over time and have improved their defensive ability to spread more rapidly than ever before and more resistant to certain drugs which is causing more worldwide panic.
